Accident Overview
On August 9, 2016, at 1530 UTC, a Quad City Challenger II aircraft, registration C-IIJW and serial number CH2-0903-2368, crashed near the runway end of Amos/Magny Airport (CYEY) in Amos, Quebec, Canada. The aircraft was destroyed, and the sole occupant on board sustained fatal injuries. The flight was en route to La Sarre Airport (CSR8) in La Sarre, Quebec.
Investigation
The Transportation Safety Board of Canada (TSB Canada) is conducting the investigation under its jurisdiction. In accordance with Annex 13 of the Convention on International Civil Aviation, the United States, as the State of Design, has appointed an accredited representative to participate in the probe.
