What happened
On September 3, 2016, at approximately 15:30 Pacific daylight time, a Bell 20ral 206B helicopter, registered as C-FWHF, struck terrain near Williams Lake, British Columbia, Canada. The aircraft was performing a visual approach to landing at a location approximately 58 miles east of Williams Lake when it experienced a loss of engine power.
The flight was operated by Far West Helicopters Ltd. and had originated from a remote helipad located 58 miles east of Williams Lake. The impact caused substantial damage to the aircraft. The pilot, who was the only person on board, sustained one serious injury.
