Incident Details
On September 4, 2016, at approximately 1600 Atlantic Daylight Time, a Bell 206B helicopter, Canadian registration C-GVJT, serial number 3492, collided with power lines during cruise flight. The aircraft subsequently crashed into the Restigouche River near Flatlands, New Brunswick, Canada.
Occupants and Injuries
The helicopter was occupied by the pilot and two passengers. The pilot and one passenger sustained fatal injuries. The remaining passenger sustained minor injuries.

The cross-country flight was conducted under day visual meteorological conditions. It departed from Charlo Airport (CYCL) in Charlo, New Brunswick, and was destined for Rivière-du-Loup Airport (CYRI) in Quebec.
