Notification of Accident
The Kenya Air Accident Investigation Division (AAID) has informed the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) of an accident involving a Cessna 152 airplane that occurred on September 12, 2016. The notification was made under the provisions of ICAO Annex 13.
U.S. Involvement
In response, the NTSB has appointed a U.S. Accredited Representative to assist the AAID investigation. This appointment is made as the United States is the State of Manufacturer and Design of the airplane and its engine.
Investigation Authority
All investigative information regarding this accident will be released by the Kenya AAID. The NTSB is participating in a supporting role as per international cooperation protocols.
