Accident Overview
A pilot of a tailwheel-equipped airplane reported that during the landing, the airplane veered to the right and then to the left. After correcting the veer to the right, the pilot stated that he "didn't get on it quick enough to stop the turn." The airplane continued to the left and entered a ground loop.

The pilot indicated that there were no preaccident mechanical failures or malfunctions with the airplane that would have precluded normal operation.
Weather Conditions
At the time of the accident, the automated weather observation station at the airport reported wind from 190° at 6 knots. The pilot landed on runway 26.
Aircraft Damage
A postaccident examination revealed that the airplane sustained substantial damage to the right wing.
