What happened
On March 14, 2017, at approximately 1719 UTC, a Sikorsky S-92 helicopter, registered as EI-ICR, crashed offshore near Blackrock Island, west of Blacksod Bay, Ireland. The flight had departed from Dublin, Ireland, and was enroute to the Blacksod Bay Helipad in County Mayo.
The aircraft was occupied by four individuals. The pilot sustained fatal injuries, and the three crewmembers are presumed fatal.
