What happened
On March 31, 2017, at approximately 1745 UTC, a Piper PA-42, registered as PP-EPB, was on approach to Barra Do Garcas Airport (SBBW) in Sorocaba, Brazil. During the approach phase, the aircraft impacted the ground and was destroyed. The flight was operating under visual meteorological conditions (VMC) with winds from 150 degrees at 09 knots.
The accident resulted in 2 fatal injuries for the pilot and the passenger.
