The aircraft was performing an initial climb from runway 17, en route from Cascais to Avignon-Provence Airport (LFMV) in France, when it experienced a loss of control.

The aircraft was destroyed upon impact, which was followed by a post-impact fire. The accident resulted in 4 fatal injuries to the occupants of the aircraft, as well as 1 fatality to an individual on the ground.
