What happened
On July 7, 2010, at 10:30 CDT, a Piper PA31T with Mexican registration XB-NVB crashed near Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico. The aircraft, operated by Ra Jet Aeroservcios, was performing a flight to survey flood damage near the Escondido River.
The flight departed from Piedras Negras International Airport (MMPG). During the flight, the aircraft impacted terrain under circumstances that remain unknown. At the time of the accident, visual meteorological conditions were in effect. The crash resulted in 8 fatal injuries, claiming the lives of the pilot and seven passengers.
