Pilot Makes Emergency Landing After Passenger Becomes Unresponsive

Incident Overview

A pilot reported that an emergency landing was necessitated when the passenger became unresponsive. During the landing roll, the airplane overran the runway and came to rest in the grass beyond the departure end.

An automated weather observation station located approximately 16 miles northeast of the accident airport reported winds from 340° at 20 knots, gusting to 32 knots, around the time of the event. The pilot indicated that the landing was conducted on runway 20.
