Accident Details
The pilot of a tailwheel-equipped airplane reported that during a three-point touchdown, the airplane "immediately veered left." The pilot applied full right rudder in response. He subsequently applied power, but as he did so, the right main landing gear collapsed as the airplane ground looped counter-clockwise on the runway.
Damage
The right wing sustained substantial damage.

The pilot stated there were no preaccident mechanical malfunctions or failures with the airplane that would have precluded normal operation.
Weather Conditions
An automated weather observation station at the accident airport reported wind from 090° at 5 knots around the time of the accident. The pilot reported that the landing was on runway 15.
