Incident Overview
A Cessna aircraft collided with a Siai-Marchetti aircraft while both were taxiing into a runup area. According to the pilot of the Cessna, as he maneuvered into the runup space between another Cessna and the Siai-Marchetti, his airplane's right wing made contact with the rudder of the Siai-Marchetti.
Damage Assessment
The Siai-Marchetti sustained substantial damage to its rudder, while the Cessna received minor damage to its right wing. No other damage was reported.
Pilot Reports
Both pilots stated that there were no preaccident mechanical malfunctions or failures with their respective aircraft that would have precluded normal operation. No other contributing factors were noted in their reports.
