On July 10, 2017, a United States Marine Corps Lockheed KC-130T Hercules aircraft crashed in Leflore County, Mississippi, resulting in the deaths of all 16 people on board. The aircraft, operating under the call sign Yanky 72, was assigned to Marine Aerial Refueler Transport Squadron 452 (VMGR-452) at Stewart Air National Guard Base, New York. Debris from the aircraft was found in Leflore County.
