Accident Overview
On July 20, 2017, at 1109 coordinated universal time, a Cirrus SR-20, Brazilian registration PR-PRF, sustained substantial damage when it collided with terrain shortly after takeoff. The accident occurred at Santa Edwiges farm, near the municipality of Santo Antônio do Leveger, Mato Grosso, Brazil. The pilot and passenger on board were fatally injured. The flight was en route to Ponta Porã International Airport (SBPP) in Ponta Porã, Brazil.
