Accident Overview
A tailwheel-equipped airplane experienced a nose-over during the landing roll. According to the pilot report, after touchdown, the left wing began to lift, followed by the tail. The airplane subsequently nosed over to the right and came to rest.
Pilot Actions
The pilot reported applying full left aileron and full back pressure on the control yoke in response to the wing and tail lifting. Despite these inputs, the airplane nosed over and stopped.
Aircraft Damage
The accident resulted in substantial damage to the fuselage. The pilot stated that there were no preaccident mechanical malfunctions or failures that would have prevented normal operation.
Weather Conditions
An automated weather observation station at the airport reported wind from 100° at 7 knots around the time of the accident. The airplane was landing on runway 11.
