Accident Details
On August 2, 2017, at approximately 2115 universal coordinated time, a Robinson R44 helicopter with registration XB-MWZ experienced a loss of engine power. The helicopter subsequently impacted the Pacific Ocean near Puerto Chiapas, Mexico. There were two persons on board the helicopter; one person was reported as fatally injured, and the other person was uninjured. The flight had originated from a fishing vessel.
