The government of Hungary notified the National Transportation Safety Board of an accident involving an American Champion 8GCBC, registration HA-KYL, which took place on August 04, 2017, in Dunaujvaros, Hungary. There were no injuries reported in the event.
As the State of Manufacture and Design for both the aircraft and the engine, the United States appointed an Accredited Representative to assist the Hungarian authorities with the investigation in accordance with ICAO Annex 13. All investigative details are being managed and released by the government of Hungary.
