Incident Overview
A float-equipped airplane experienced a nose-over accident during a landing on water. The pilot reported that while approaching the landing, he observed what he believed to be ripples on the water surface. This led to the airplane touching down sooner than anticipated. The left float then skipped across the water, followed by the toe of the right float contacting the water. The airplane subsequently nosed over and came to rest inverted.
