Accident Details
On August 10, 2017, at approximately 0930 coordinated universal time, a Bell 206L3 helicopter with Algerian registration 7T-WUF was substantially damaged when it impacted terrain while maneuvering in Algiers, Algeria. The flight, which was conducting local aerial photography, had departed from Algiers International Airport (DAAG) and was operating under Algerian flight regulations.
Occupants and Injuries
The helicopter was occupied by the pilot and three passengers. All four occupants were fatally injured in the accident.
Investigation
The accident is under investigation by the Algerian Ministry of Transport, Civil Aviation Authority. As the State of Manufacture and Design of the engine, the United States National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has appointed a US Accredited Representative under the provisions of ICAO Annex 13.
