What happened
On September 19, 2017, at 14:50 UTC, a Vans RV-4 experimental amateur-built airplane, registered LN-ABF, crashed near Hamar Airport (ENHA) in Stafsberg, Norway. The flight was a local, personal trip that originated from ENHA under visual meteorological conditions with winds at 000 degrees at 3 knots.
While performing an approach to runway 15, the aircraft reached an altitude of approximately 400 feet before departing controlled flight. The airplane entered a right-hand spin that continued until it impacted the terrain. The accident resulted in 2 fatal injuries for the pilot and passenger. The aircraft was destroyed upon impact.
