Incident
On September 19, 2017, at 1450 UTC, a Vans Aircraft RV-4 experimental amateur-built airplane, Norwegian registration LN-ABF, impacted terrain near Hamar Airport (ENHA), Stafsberg, Norway. The pilot and passenger on board were fatally injured, and the airplane was destroyed. Visual meteorological conditions prevailed for the local, personal flight that had originated from ENHA.
The airplane was making an approach to runway 15 when, at an altitude of approximately 400 feet, it departed controlled flight and entered a right-hand spin, subsequently striking the ground.

The RV-4 was an amateur-built, experimental category airplane owned and operated by a private individual. The flight was local and personal in nature, conducted under visual flight rules.
