Accident Details
On October 11, 2017, a Bombardier DHC-8-402 aircraft experienced an in-flight issue that prompted the crew to divert to Belfast International Airport. The aircraft subsequently landed with its nose landing gear retracted.
Investigation
The UK Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) is leading the investigation into the accident. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has appointed a U.S. Accredited Representative to assist the AAIB under the provisions of ICAO Annex 13, as the United States is the State of Manufacture of some components of the landing gear system.
All investigative information will be released by the AAIB.
