Accident Overview
On October 26, 2017, at approximately 0952 mountain daylight time, a Piper PA-34-200T aircraft, registration C-GCCM, departed controlled flight and struck terrain shortly after taking off from Calgary Springbank Airport (CYBW) in Alberta, Canada. The flight instructor and the pilot receiving instruction sustained fatal injuries.
