Incident Details
On November 18, 2017, at approximately 1430 local time, a Bell 206B helicopter registered as VH-SDZ rolled over following a precautionary landing near Emerald Aerodrome in Middlemount, Queensland, Australia. The helicopter was equipped with a Rolls-Royce 250 series turboshaft engine. The aircraft sustained substantial damage, while the two crewmembers on board were uninjured.
Investigation
The Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ATSB) is conducting an investigation into the accident. As the state of manufacture of the engines, the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has designated a US accredited representative to assist the ATSB in its investigation.
