NTSB Assists Brazil in 2017 Cessna A188 Accident Investigation

Notification and Aircraft Type<br><br>The government of Brazil informed the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) about an accident involving a Cessna A188 airplane. The incident occurred on December 30, 2017.<br><br>## International Cooperation<br><br>In accordance with ICAO Annex 13, the NTSB appointed a U.S. Accredited Representative to assist the Brazilian government with its investigation. This role supports international aviation safety efforts by providing technical and procedural assistance during foreign-led inquiries.<br><br>## Information Release<br><br>All investigative information related to the accident will be released by the government of Brazil. The NTSB's involvement is limited to assisting the lead investigating authority, which retains responsibility for the final findings and public disclosures.
