What happened
On July 22, 2017, a pilot prepared to conduct a taxi training lesson with a student at the airfield in Biała Podlaska. During the taxiing phase, while moving along the link between the aero club building and the runway, the Cessna 152 collided with a passenger car that was entering the taxiway.
The impact caused damage to the rear of the aircraft, specifically affecting the left side of the horizontal stabilizer.
The investigation
Following the collision, local police were summoned to the scene. During the subsequent investigation, authorities determined that the pilot was operating the aircraft while under the influence of alcohol, as evidenced by breathalyzer tests showing levels exceeding the legal limit. Due to the pilot's state of intoxication, the PKBWL declined to proceed with a formal aviation accident investigation.
