What happened

On February 05, 2018, at approximately 23:52 local time, a Sikorsky UH-60M helicopter, registration NA706, disappeared after departing from Lanyu Airport (RCLY) on Orchid Island, Taiwan. The aircraft was operated by the National Airborne Service Corps of the Ministry of Interior, Taiwan R.O.C.

Following the disappearance, the aircraft was presumed to have crashed in open ocean waters. The helicopter is believed to have been destroyed. Of the six occupants on board, consisting of three crew members and three passengers, all 6 fatal remain missing.
