Accident Details
According to the operator, a foreign certificated pilot reported that the wind sock gave faulty information during the landing. The airplane subsequently exited the departure end of the runway and collided with a drainage culvert. The airplane sustained substantial damage to the engine mounts.

At the time of the accident, the METAR at the nearest airport reported wind from 310° at 5 knots. The pilot landed the airplane on runway 5.

The runway length was 2,355 feet. According to the manufacturer's Pilot Operating Handbook (POH), the normal landing distance for the airplane is 595 feet.

The operator reported that there were no mechanical malfunctions or failures with the airplane that would have precluded normal operation.
