Incident Overview
The Hong Kong Civil Aviation Department (HKCAD) has notified the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) of an incident involving a Boeing 747-8F airplane that occurred on March 29, 2018. The HKCAD is leading the investigation as the State of Occurrence.
Investigation Details
In accordance with the provisions of ICAO Annex 13, the NTSB has appointed a U.S. Accredited Representative to assist the HKCAD investigation. This appointment is made because the United States is the State of design and manufacture of the airplane and its engines. The U.S. Accredited Representative will participate in the investigation to provide technical assistance and facilitate coordination between the two agencies.
