Incident Notification
On April 30, 2018, the Aircraft Accident Investigation Committee (AAIC) of Thailand notified the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) of an incident involving a Boeing 777-212 airplane. The notification was made in accordance with international protocols for aviation safety.
Investigation Roles
In response, the NTSB appointed an Accredited Representative to assist the AAIC with its investigation. This appointment follows the provisions of ICAO Annex 13, which designates the NTSB as the State of Design and Manufacture for the Boeing 777-212. The Accredited Representative will support the AAIC in examining the circumstances of the incident.
Information Release
All investigative information regarding this incident will be released by the Aircraft Accident Investigation Committee of Thailand. The AAIC is the lead investigative authority, and further details will be made public as the investigation proceeds.
