Incident Notification
The government of Colombia formally notified the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) regarding an aviation accident that occurred on May 28, 2018. The incident involved a Cessna 152 aircraft. As the state where the accident took place, Colombia holds primary jurisdiction over the investigation.
International Cooperation
In accordance with the provisions of ICAO Annex 13, the NTSB appointed a U.S. Accredited Representative to assist in the investigative process. This role facilitates international cooperation and ensures that the interests of the United States are represented during the inquiry conducted by Colombian authorities.
