What happened
On June 18, 2018, at approximately 0615 local time, a Piper PA-31, registration 5R-MKF, struck terrain roughly 5 nautical miles from Ivato International Airport in Antananarivo, Madagascar. The aircraft was being operated by Madagascar Trans Air as part of an instructional flight in accordance with Madagascar civil regulations.
The accident resulted in 5 fatal injuries. The occupants included the pilot in command, two pilot observers, a pilot monitor, and one passenger.
