Accident Details
A solo student pilot was conducting a training flight. According to the pilot's report, the landing was uneventful, after which the airplane taxied to the runup area. The pilot then contacted a flight instructor, opened a new flight plan, and taxied to the departure runway.
Sequence of Events
During the takeoff roll, approximately at the time of rotation, the pilot felt the airplane shutter. The pilot subsequently decided to abort the takeoff. During the aborted takeoff, the airplane porpoised and the nose landing gear collapsed.
Damage
The airplane sustained substantial damage to the fuselage. The student pilot reported that there were no preimpact mechanical failures or malfunctions with the airframe or engine that would have precluded normal operation.
