Event Description
The pilot of a tailwheel-equipped airplane reported that, during a wheel-landing on a narrow private grass airstrip, the airplane bounced. Following the bounce, the pilot allowed a slight drift to persist without applying adequate corrective rudder input. As a result, the right wing of the airplane collided with cornstalks that outlined the perimeter of the airstrip. The impact caused the right main landing gear to fail, and the airplane came to rest on its right wing, which remained in contact with the ground.
Damage
The airplane sustained substantial damage to the right wing. No other damage details were provided.
