NTSB Assists Mexico in 2018 Piper PA25 Accident Investigation

Incident Notification and International Cooperation On November 8, 2018, a Piper PA25 aircraft was involved in an accident in Mexico. The Mexican government formally notified the U.S. National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) of the incident. In accordance with ICAO Annex 13, the NTSB appointed a U.S. Accredited Representative to support the Mexican government's investigation. All investigative information and final findings are to be released exclusively by the government of Mexico. The NTSB's role is limited to providing technical assistance as an accredited representative, while the lead investigative authority remains with the Mexican government.
