Accident Overview
On November 12, 2018, at approximately 2016 UTC, a Cessna T206H airplane, Mexican registration XB-ILM, experienced a loss of engine power and executed a forced landing onto a highway near Tampico, Tamaulipas, Mexico. The aircraft sustained substantial damage during the landing. The pilot and the sole passenger were not injured.
Collision with Motorcycle
During the emergency landing, the aircraft collided with a motorcycle traveling on the highway. The collision resulted in fatal injuries to two individuals who were on the motorcycle.
