What happened
On November 12, 2018, at approximately 2016 UTC, a Cessna T206H, registration XB-ILM, experienced a loss of engine power while operating near Tampico, Tamaulipas, Mexico. The aircraft was traveling from General Francisco Javier Mina International Airport (MMTM) to General Lucio Blanco International Airport (MMRX) in Reynosa, Tamaulipas.
Following the loss of power, the pilot performed a forced landing onto a highway. During the emergency maneuver, the aircraft collided with a motorcycle. While the pilot and passenger of the airplane were not injured, the collision resulted in 2 fatalities for the individuals traveling on the motorcycle.
