Incident Notification
On November 25, 2018, an incident involving a Boeing 737 occurred. The National Transportation Safety Committee (KNKT) of Indonesia notified the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) of the United States about the occurrence.
International Involvement
In accordance with ICAO Annex 13, the NTSB appointed a U.S. Accredited Representative to assist the KNKT in the investigation. The NTSB is the representative for the state that manufactured and designed the aircraft.
Investigation Lead
The KNKT is the leading investigative authority for this incident. All findings and information will be released by the KNKT. The NTSB's role is to provide support and expertise as required under international agreements.
