What happened
On November 28, 2018, at approximately 0850 UTC, a Bell 407 GX, registration PK-JPB, performed a precautionary landing near West Bangkala, Indonesia. The decision to land was made after the engine chip detector caution light illuminated during flight.
The landing resulted in substantial damage to the helicopter. There were no injuries reported for the pilot or the passenger. The aircraft was being operated under the civil regulations of the Indonesian government.
