Accident Details
A solo student pilot was landing on runway 33 when the airplane touched down left of the runway centerline. The airplane then veered left, exited the runway to the left, and nosed over. The accident resulted in substantial damage to the lower left-wing lift strut.
Pilot Report
The pilot reported that there were no preaccident mechanical failures or malfunctions with the airplane that would have precluded normal operation. The pilot did not submit the National Transportation Safety Board Pilot/Operator Aircraft Accident/Incident Report Form 6120.1.

Automated weather observations at the airport recorded wind conditions around the time of the accident. Approximately 5 minutes before the accident, the wind was from 320° at 7 knots. Approximately 15 minutes after the accident, the wind was from 320° at 9 knots, with variable direction between 290° and 350°.
