What happened
On December 30, 2018, at approximately 0230 universal time, an Agusta A119 helicopter, registration RA-01908, struck terrain approximately 12 miles from Ulan-Ude, Buryatia, Russia. The accident resulted in 4 fatal injuries, involving the pilot and three passengers.
The investigation
The Interstate Aviation Committee (IAC) of Russia is conducting the investigation into the accident. Because certain avionics components in the helicopter were manufactured in the United States, the NTSB appointed a U.S. accredited representative to assist the IAC with the investigation.
