The Aviation Accident Investigation Bureau (BPEA) of the Democratic Republic of Congo notified the U.S. National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) of an incident involving a Boeing 737 that occurred on January 21, 2019. In accordance with the provisions of ICAO Annex 13, which designates the State of Manufacturer and Design responsibilities, the NTSB appointed a U.S. Accredited Representative to assist the BPEA in the investigation.
