Accident Summary
The incident occurred following a training session in which a student pilot, flying solo, was practicing touch and go maneuvers. The student pilot had previously completed touch and go maneuvers with a flight instructor, who subsequently deplaned. The student then completed three additional touch and go landings. On the final landing, the airplane touched down in a nose-first attitude and bounced. The student pilot attempted to initiate a go-around, but the aircraft bounced again, causing the propeller to strike the runway surface. After the propeller strike, the student pilot maneuvered the airplane back to the ramp without further incident.
Aircraft Damage
The accident resulted in substantial damage to the engine mount frame, the engine mounts, and the nose landing gear tunnel. No other damage was reported.

The student pilot reported that there were no preaccident mechanical failures or malfunctions with the airplane that would have precluded normal operation.
