NTSB Appoints Representative for 2019 Airbus A330-302 Incident

Incident Notification and Investigation Role On May 30, 2019, an incident involving an Airbus A330-302 airplane was reported to the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) by the Taiwan Aviation Safety Council (ASC). The ASC, as the investigating authority, notified the NTSB of the event. In response, the NTSB appointed a U.S. Accredited Representative to support the ASC's investigation. This appointment was made under the provisions of ICAO Annex 13, with the United States participating in its capacity as the state of design and manufacture of the airplane's engines. The NTSB's role is limited to providing technical assistance in this capacity, while the ASC retains primary responsibility for the investigation. ## Information Release All investigative information related to the incident will be released by the ASC. The NTSB has not indicated that it will issue separate findings or reports regarding the event.
