The NTSB has appointed a representative to assist Indian authorities in investigating an incident involving an Air India Express Boeing 737.
On June 30, 2019, an incident occurred involving a Boeing 737 aircraft, registration VT-AYA, operated by Air India Express in Mangalore, India.
Following the event, the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) of India notified the NTSB of the incident. Under the provisions of ICAO Annex 13, the NTSB appointed a U.S. Accredited Representative to support the AAIB's investigation in its capacity as the State of Manufacturer.
