The NTSB is assisting Costa Rican authorities in an investigation regarding a Boeing 737 incident that occurred in July 2019.

The Costa Rican Civil Aviation Authority (CETAC) notified the NTSB of an incident involving a Boeing 737, registration N86534, which took place on July 11, 2019. There were no injuries reported in the incident.

What happened

Under the provisions of ICAO Annex 13, the NTSB appointed a U.S. Accredited Representative to support the investigation being conducted by the CETAC of Costa Rica. As the State of Manufacturer, the United States is participating in the process to assist the Costa Rican authorities.
