On August 2, 2019, a Robinson R44 helicopter (DQ-HPT) crashed into the ocean about 4 nautical miles east of Korotasere, Cakaudrove, Fiji. The commercial pilot and two passengers are presumed fatally injured. The aircraft was not recovered. CAAF is investigating with NTSB assistance.

On August 2, 2019, at approximately 1830 local time, a Robinson R44 helicopter, registration DQ-HPT, impacted the ocean approximately 4 nautical miles east of Korotasere, Cakaudrove, Fiji. The circumstances surrounding the accident are unknown. The commercial pilot and two passengers on board are presumed to have suffered fatal injuries. The helicopter has not been located.
