What happened
Following the occurrence, the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) of India notified the NTSB of the incident. Because the aircraft is equipped with CFMI CFM56-5 engines, the NTSB appointed a U.S. Accredited Representative to support the AAIB's investigation in accordance with ICAO Annex 13, acting as the State of Design and Manufacture for the engines.
