What happened
On July 14, 2019, a pilot operating a Cessna 182T departed from Słupsk-Krępa (EPSK) bound for Jastarnia (EPJA). During the flight, while positioned north of Cewice (EPCE) airport, the pilot observed fluctuations in the oil pressure gauge. Although the oil temperature remained within normal parameters, the pilot declared a MAYDAY at 10:29 LMT and requested permission to land at Cewice. The aircraft landed safely at EPCE at 10:36 LMT.
Following the landing, the pilot inspected the engine's oil level and the integrity of the oil system. The inspection revealed that the oil level was normal and no leaks were detected. Upon performing an engine test, the pilot noted that the oil pressure readings had stabilized and were no longer fluctuating. Based on these findings, the pilot decided to continue the flight toward Jastarnia and subsequently toward Babice (EPBC).
However, during the flight toward Babice, the oil pressure fluctuations recurred. Upon arrival at Babice, technical personnel inspected the aircraft and identified a malfunction within the oil pressure sensor.
