Accident Overview
On January 13, 2020, a Bell 407 helicopter was involved in an accident in Lautaro, Chile. The aircraft was equipped with a Honeywell HTS900 turboshaft engine.
Investigation
The government of Chile has notified the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) of the accident. The NTSB has appointed an Accredited Representative to assist the Chilean investigation under the provisions of ICAO Annex 13, as the United States is the State of Design and Manufacture for the installed engine.
