NTSB Appoints Representative for Australian Cessna 182 Accident Investigation

Notification and Appointment of Representative The government of Australia has notified the U.S. National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) of an accident involving a Cessna 182 airplane. The incident occurred on January 22, 2020. In response to this notification, the NTSB has appointed a U.S. Accredited Representative to assist the government of Australia in its investigation. This appointment is made under the provisions of ICAO Annex 13, which governs the investigation of aircraft accidents and incidents. ## Information Release All investigative information related to this accident will be released by the government of Australia. The NTSB's role is limited to providing assistance through the appointed representative, in accordance with international aviation safety protocols.
