Accident Details
A pilot reported that, during the takeoff roll in a tailwheel-equipped airplane, the tailwheel lifted off the ground, causing the airplane to veer left. The pilot was unable to maintain directional control, and the airplane subsequently ground looped.
Damage
The accident resulted in substantial damage to the right wing and horizontal stabilizer. The pilot noted that there were no preaccident mechanical failures or malfunctions that would have precluded normal operation.
